CIMC Enrico Holdings Limited and Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shougang Group Co., Ltd., officially signed a cooperation agreement recently. The two parties have decided to establish a joint venture to jointly invest in the construction of the \"CIMC Shuigang Hydrogen Production from Coke Oven Gas with Co-production of LNG Project\" in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province (hereinafter referred to as the \"Coke Oven Gas Hydrogen Production Project\"). This cooperation actively responds to **policies on carbon emission reduction, taking a solid step forward in promoting the clean and efficient use of energy, advancing the low-carbon transformation of industry, and achieving high-quality development. This collaboration represents another significant breakthrough in the upstream sector, following the successful partnership between CIMC Enrico and Ansteel in the project to produce liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen from coke oven gas. The project is planned to produce approximately 24 million Nm³ of hydrogen per year, as well as around 160,000 tons of LNG per year, and is expected to be completed and put into operation by 2025. CIMC Enric will invest 205 million yuan in capital, holding a controlling stake. As a model project for the in-depth transformation of industrial structure products under the **\"dual carbon\" strategy, it also serves as a key example of CIMC Enric entering the upstream segment of the clean energy industry chain in the southwest region, thereby expanding the end-to-end industry chain that encompasses resources, storage and transportation, and applications. It holds milestone significance for the company’s plans to diversify the range of products and improve its layout within the clean energy industry ecosystem.
