On June 10, the signing ceremony for the natural gas (shale gas) liquefaction, storage, peak-shaving, and helium extraction project in Xing County, Lüliang City, Shanxi Province, was held at the county’s economic and technological development zone. The Xingxian Natural Gas (Shale Gas) Liquefaction, Storage, Peak Shaving and Helium Extraction Project has a total investment of around 1.15 billion yuan. Once operational, the project will be able to produce 480,000 tons of liquefied natural gas per year, along with 320,000 cubic meters of helium as a by-product. Its annual output value is expected to reach 2.5 billion yuan, while annual tax payments will amount to 150 million yuan. It is anticipated that the project will create employment for over 130 people.
