Fuchuan Yifan LNG fuel tank design approved by ABS

　　According to Sinochem New Network, recently, the main design documents for the LNG fuel tank project of the SUNBO 113600DWT dual-fuel oil tanker, undertaken by Fujian Fuchuan Yifan New Energy Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., have successfully passed the authoritative certification by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). 　　It is understood that the product of this project are C-type LNG fuel tanks installed on decks. Their design strictly adheres to the IGF Rules issued by the International Maritime Organization as well as the requirements set by ABS for liquefied gas carriers equipped with separate tanks. A dual-design assurance system based on theoretical calculations and numerical verification has been established to ensure that these LNG fuel tanks are safe, reliable, and energy-efficient. This technology fills the gap in the company’s capability in designing equipment for this ship type, enabling a strategic upgrade from mere manufacturing to a full-chain capability of “design + manufacturing”.
