The first shipment of sulfur from the Wusheng Purification Plant of Daqing Oilfield was successfully transported out. At 10 a.m. on February 3, amid warm applause echoing throughout the plant, the first tank truck at the Wusheng Purification Plant under the Natural Gas Branch, loaded with 30 tons of liquid sulfur, left the premises after being weighed. This marked the official commencement of sulfur shipments by the branch, representing a crucial step forward for Daqing Oilfield in the comprehensive utilization of sulfur-containing natural gas resources. The Wusheng Purification Plant is the first sulfur-containing natural gas purification plant in Daqing Oilfield, and also the first unit within Daqing Oilfield to achieve industrial production of sulfur products. Since its trial operation began on January 13, 2026, the purified natural gas has been delivered steadily. Tests conducted by specialized institutions have shown that all 9 indicators related to sulfur products meet the standards for top-quality products, marking a new breakthrough for the Daqing Oilfield in the field of advanced purification of sulfur-containing natural gas and the comprehensive utilization of sulfur resources. The successful transportation of liquid sulfur means that the Wusheng purification plant can now operate both its \"purified gas\" and \"sulfur\" production lines simultaneously. This not only increases the added value of natural gas resources but also helps to alleviate the shortage of sulfur raw materials in the region, providing strong impetus for the development of a natural gas chemical industry cluster in Wusheng County, Sichuan Province. Next, the plant will steadily increase its operational capacity and optimize its operations as planned, continuing to supply high-quality sulfur products to support the high-quality development of the energy and chemical industries in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.

CNPC has numerous natural gas projects in Sichuan and Chongqing, which are mainly developed by Daqing Oilfield. Similarly, Sinopec also has several natural gas projects in Sichuan and Chongqing, which are mainly developed by the Zhongyuan Oilfield and Shengli Oilfield.
