The total cargo unloaded at CNOOC Yancheng’s “Green Energy Port”, the largest LNG hub in China, has exceeded 9 million tons

On February 23, the Bahamian LNG ship AL KHUWAIR completed the unloading of 94,600 tons of LNG in Yancheng, Jiangsu, and then departed successfully from the LNG terminal at CNOOC Yancheng’s \"Green Energy Port\". This marks that, since the port began operations on September 26, 2022, the total amount of LNG unloaded there has exceeded 9 million tons, representing an important milestone in ensuring energy supply and promoting green and low-carbon development in the East China region. As the largest LNG energy hub in China, CNOOC Yancheng’s “Green Energy Port” currently has 10 large-scale LNG storage tanks, including 4 tanks with a capacity of 220,000 cubic meters and 6 tanks with a capacity of 270,000 cubic meters. This not only effectively meets the energy needs for livelihoods and industry in Jiangsu Province and its surrounding areas, but it also equates to a reduction of 50 million tons of carbon emissions, providing strong \"green momentum\" for the energy transition in the East China region.
