With internet technology being so advanced these days, when will it be possible to attend exhibitions without leaving home? Running an exhibition these days is too time-consuming, costly, and demanding in terms of effort.
I think the online exhibitions or virtual exhibition halls available today only provide a visual form of presentation, and their value is nowhere near that of physical exhibitions. Many of the exhibits in the chemical industry can only be properly understood through actual experiments and hands-on operations; therefore, it may take some time before online exhibitions can fulfill their potential.
I recently attended a forum in the exhibition industry that focused on the future trends of exhibitions. There was a company that specializes in organizing dual-line exhibitions; its name was something like Zhanpai or similar. The CEO of that company said, “Exhibitions are not held merely for the purpose of display; their true value lies in how they can integrate industry resources and effectively establish channels between upstream enterprises and end-users.” I think there is a lot of merit in his view – the ultimate value of exhibitions should be determined by how they enable the creation of business channels, with follow-up services used to maintain those channels. Starting from this point, the future development of exhibitions might lie in the online realm~
In fact, many companies have already started to focus on online exhibitions; I just think that for exhibitions in the chemical industry, online exhibitions would require more functions~
