I would like to ask the experts: does all oil-based pinacol raw material need to be pre-treated first? Removal of quinoline-insoluble substances, desulfurization, etc.?
Is your oil-based needle coke feedstock an oil slurry? If so, preprocessing is required, right? Remove the solid matter, etc
Pinacol coke is generally produced through delayed coking using suitable heavy feedstocks. It is difficult to remove specific components from such heavy feedstock oils using conventional methods; moreover, hydrogenation of the feedstocks hinders coke formation. Therefore, the feedstocks are not subjected to any treatment, or if treatment is carried out, it takes place during the stages prior to the formation of the coking feedstock, such as demetallization and the removal of certain asphaltenes.
