In the general method for determining phosphates according to GBT9727-2008, stannous chloride-ascorbic acid is added, the mixture is allowed to settle and separate into layers, and the aqueous phase is removed. When testing with a blank (water in this case), there are no problems, but in the sample (an aqueous solution of organic acids), a blue precipitate appears in the aqueous phase.
