Operation steps for the GC-8900 chromatograph: 1. Open the nitrogen cylinder, set the pressure regulator to 0.4 MPa; turn on the hydrogen generator and the air generator. 2. Turn on the chromatograph, select the hydrogen flame mode, and start heating; 3. Once the temperature reaches the set value, increase the hydrogen pressure to above 0.1 MPa and ignite it; after the flame is lit, gradually reduce the hydrogen pressure back to 0.05 MPa ; 4. Turn on the computer, open the online workstation, select Channel 1, click on data acquisition, and check the baseline. Once the baseline stabilizes, sample analysis can be carried out. After sampling, immediately click the acquisition button or press F5; once the peak appears, click to stop acquisition and preview the results ; 5. When the instrument needs to be turned off after not being in use for an extended period, first shut off the hydrogen and air supplies, then press the stop button to allow the instrument to cool down. Once the temperature inside the column chamber drops below 60°C, turn off the instrument as well as the nitrogen cylinder and the nitrogen pressure regulator. When it’s time to shut down the computer, first check the baseline level and then turn off the online workstation. Routine maintenance: 1. Replace the sampling pad if it leaks air; 2. Replace the gas when the pressure in the cylinder is below 1 Mpa.
