Are regional air compression stations and refrigeration stations considered important regional facilities? Not listed per Clause 2.0.6 of the Petrochemical Regulations. If treated as regionally important facilities, there are no specific regulations regarding fire separation distances for them. It is also inappropriate to apply the fire separation distance requirements specified in Article 5.2.1 for \"control rooms, cabinet rooms, power distribution stations, laboratories, and offices\", as these areas are all places where people gather and can serve as potential sources of ignition. If it is not treated as a regionally important facility, is there no limit on the distance from the devices it serves?
According to the explanations in GB50160, the air compressor station you mentioned should be classified as a type II regional important facility (Type I: facilities that may cause severe casualties in the event of a fire). Category 2: Facilities whose production of certain devices is affected in case of a fire). Table 4.2.12 in GB50160 specifies the fire separation distances between important facilities throughout the plant and those located in the surrounding area. Note 3 under the table indicates that for regionally important facilities and adjacent facilities, the fire separation distance can be reduced by 25% (except for flares)
