In accordance with the relevant provisions of the approval procedures for environmental impact assessments of construction projects, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment intends to review the environmental impact assessment documents for two construction projects: the second phase of the crude oil terminal in the West Port Area of Yantai Port, along with the associated pipelines and tank farm facilities. The basic information of the environmental impact assessment document to be reviewed is now being made public, with the publicity period running from September 8, 2021, to September 14, 2021 (5 working days). Project overview: The total investment in this project is 2.1 billion yuan, of which 77 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures. The project includes wharf construction, pipeline works, and supporting storage areas. One 300,000-ton crude oil berth is planned, with a designed crude oil handling capacity of 16 million tons per year, all for unloading. The pipeline project consists of two pipelines, each 3405 meters/1000 millimeters long, and is equipped with electric heat tracing. The supporting facility area includes a tank storage area, an auxiliary operation area, and an administrative management area. The tank storage area features 2 new tank groups with 8 external floating roof tanks, including 6 tanks with a capacity of 120,000 cubic meters each and 2 tanks with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters each, giving a total storage capacity of 1.02 million cubic meters ； The auxiliary operation area includes 1 emergency accident tank with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters, 2 fire water tanks with a capacity of 0.8 million cubic meters, an external transfer pump shed, a fire pump room, a comprehensive equipment room, and a power distribution station, among other facilities ； Steam tracing is used for storage tanks, process pipelines, and fire water tanks.
