On that day, Jiangxi Province issued the \"Jiangxi Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan for the High-Quality Development of the Manufacturing Sector.\" By 2025, the province aims to cultivate 5 enterprises (groups) with a value of 100 billion yuan and over 50 enterprises (groups) with a value of 10 billion yuan. The Plan states that by 2025, Jiangxi aims to bring the scale of its petrochemical industry to around 500 billion yuan. Aiming at \"rational layout, high-end products, resource conservation, and cleaner production,\" efforts are being made to advance the transformation toward integrated refining and chemical manufacturing. The development and application of organic fluorosilicon materials are being strengthened, while high-end specialty chemicals and fine chemicals are being developed. The structure of chlor-alkali products is being optimized, with a focus on enhancing the competitiveness of key industrial chains in areas such as petrochemicals, organosilicon compounds, fluorine chemicals, chlor-alkali chemicals, and fine chemicals, thereby increasing industry concentration and the level of integration within chemical parks. In terms of new materials, Jiangxi will carry out joint research on key core technologies. It will focus on developing traditional basic materials such as high-performance non-ferrous metal materials, advanced steel materials, advanced petrochemical materials, and advanced inorganic non-metallic materials. It will also develop key strategic materials such as rare earth functional materials, high-performance fibers and composite materials, special ceramic materials, advanced semiconductor materials, and high-end new energy materials. Additionally, efforts will be made to develop cutting-edge new materials such as high-end carbon materials like graphene and advanced nanomaterials. By 2025, efforts will be made to push the industry’s scale beyond 600 billion yuan. Jiangxi will become an important national base for the new materials industry. Focusing on cities such as Yingtan, Ganzhou, Fuzhou, Xinyu, Nanchang, Jiujiang, and Ji’an, efforts will be made to develop new material industry clusters worth hundreds of billions or tens of billions of yuan in areas such as metal new materials, chemical new materials, inorganic non-metallic materials, and electronic materials. Develop four major sectors for the coordinated development of new material industries in the Greater Nanchang metropolitan area, western Jiangxi, northeastern Jiangxi, and southern Jiangxi. Push for the upgrading of specialized new material industry bases such as those for copper-based new materials in Yingtan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, organic silicon in Yongxiu, calcium carbonate in Yongfeng, powder metallurgy in Shangli, and non-metallic materials (wollastonite) in Yushui, so as to create trillion-yuan-scale new material industry belts along the Jingjiu (Jiangxi) and Shanghai-Kunming (Jiangxi) corridors. The Plan stipulates that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Jiangxi should strive to build a demonstration zone for the high-quality development of manufacturing in central China, as well as a national hub for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the cultivation and development of emerging industries, so as to restore the glory of “Made in Jiangxi”.
