On August 8, Jilin Petrochemical reported that the 600,000-ton/year styrene plant, part of the company’s refining and transformation project, has successfully completed construction and has now entered the commissioning phase. The 600,000 tons per year styrene plant is an important part of Jilin Petrochemical’s transformation and upgrading project. To ensure the smooth commissioning of the facility, the company made full use of the technical advantages of its styrene complex, brought together the technical experts from both the new and existing facilities, and was deeply involved in the entire process of facility construction and preparation for production start-up. The “three inspections and four determinations” initiative was carried out to a high standard; more than 20 special meetings were held, and over 30 issues that hindered the timely completion of the installation were resolved, thus laying a solid foundation for its successful completion. In accordance with the actual construction progress of the facility, Jilin Petrochemical has carried out phased handover of the 600,000 tons per year styrene plant. On July 10, the new benzene tank area for Unit 800 in the facility was completed and put into operation, providing valuable experience for the completion of subsequent units. The company will strictly adhere to the \"five requirements\" for commissioning, develop a detailed commissioning plan, and follow the principle of \"acting in accordance with the plan\", ensuring high standards in the commissioning of the 600,000 tons per year styrene plant. It is determined to win the \"100-day campaign\" for project commissioning and guarantee a successful first start-up of the plant.
