On May 30, Qixiang Tengda announced that the production line for its 300,000 tons per year propylene oxide project, which had been under construction for 4 years, was now complete. Completion: The entire process chain of the installation has been operational, and qualified products have been produced successfully, achieving a successful first start-up. Once the project is put into operation, it will raise Qixiang Tengda’s production capacity for propylene oxide to 300,000 tons per year. Going forward, Qixiang Tengda will further optimize the process parameters based on the operation status of the equipment, so as to enable the equipment to reach full production capacity as soon as possible. The propylene oxide project utilizes the direct oxidation of hydrogen peroxide technology owned jointly by German companies Evonik and ThyssenKrupp; in addition, a hydrogen peroxide production facility with an annual capacity of 205,000 tons has been built to manufacture high-concentration hydrogen peroxide. This process is currently considered advanced and mature in terms of technology. The completion and operation of the propylene oxide project at Qixiang Tengda not only meets the company’s needs for the recycling of its own finished products and for further development of downstream products, but also advances its business strategy of shifting from the C4 chemical industry chain to the C3 chemical industry chain as well as into the field of fine chemicals. Lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the company. In addition, Qixiang Tengda’s 700,000 tons per year PDH plant has been built and put into operation; the 300,000 tons per year propylene oxide production facility has been completed, while the 80,000 tons per year acrylic acid plant and the 60,000 tons per year butyl acrylate plant are about to start operations. Once all the projects are completed, the company will have a complete C3 industry chain consisting of propane, propylene, and propylene oxide/acrylic acid, thereby enhancing its market share and profitability.
