Since November, the polypropylene plant at Sinopec Refining & Chemicals’ Dongxing facility has carried out customized production for customers for the first time, successfully developing a new polypropylene material designed for thermal forming, namely PPH-E03, which became one of the first products to be produced through this customized approach. To date, nearly 500 tons of new products have been produced, filling the gap for such products in western Guangdong. This product features good workability, high transparency, and excellent stiffness of the finished products. It is widely used in industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, where there is strong market demand and significant economic benefits. Through numerous experiments and continuous optimization of the production processes, the company’s product development team overcame key technical challenges such as the large variation in parameters between different grades, successfully completing the production of the new products. Customers gave positive feedback after trying them out.
