On the 14th of the month, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization announced the list of the second batch of chemical parks that have been approved. To date, Shanghai has identified 3 chemical industrial parks. 　　The chemical industrial parks that have been approved this time are the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park and the western area of Carbon Valley Green Bay (formerly Jinshan Second Industrial Zone). Among them, the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone was established in 2022, covering an area of 29.4 square kilometers, and currently houses 95 chemical enterprises; the western part of Carbon Valley Green Bay (formerly Jinshan’s Second Industrial Zone) was set up in 2006, with a total area of 8 square kilometers, and it currently has 71 chemical enterprises. 　　In mid-January of this year, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology announced that the Shanghai Petrochemical Park had passed the evaluation. The total area of this park is 7.17 square kilometers, and there are 8 enterprises currently operating there.
