Over the one-month period from May 30 to July 1, the Office of the Hubei Provincial Work Safety Committee released the results of the provincial-level re-evaluation of the safety risk levels of three batches of chemical industrial parks; a total of 11 such parks were classified as having a low safety risk level (Grade D). The first round of assessment results released on May 30 by the Safety Committee Office of Hubei Province showed that five chemical industrial parks – the Jianghan Salt Chemical Industrial Park, the Jianli City Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industrial Park, the Xisai Mountain Industrial Park’s chemical sector, the Jiayu County Wuhan New Port Panwan Industrial Park’s chemical sector, and the Shishou City Chemical Industrial Park – were rated as Grade D in the comprehensive evaluation. The second round of verification results released on June 20 showed that four chemical parks – the Saifu Industrial Park in Yingcheng Economic Development Zone in Hubei, the Huanggang Chemical Industry Park in Huanggang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the Dongbao Chemical Recycling Industrial Park, and the Guangshui Chemical Park – were rated as Grade D based on a comprehensive assessment. The results of the third round of verification, released on July 1, showed that two chemical industrial parks, namely the Titanium Industrial Park in Xiantao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and the Youth Chemical Industrial Park in Suizhou City, were rated as Grade D in the comprehensive assessment. According to the \"Guidelines for the Identification and Management of Safety Risks in Chemical Industrial Parks\" revised and issued by the Ministry of Emergency Management, safety risk levels in chemical industrial parks are divided into four categories, from highest to lowest: Grade A, Grade B, Grade C, and Grade D. These grades represent high, relatively high, moderate, and relatively low safety risks, respectively.
