As of August 27, the styrene plant at Guangzhou Petrochemical has operated safely for 1,391 consecutive days, setting a new record for the longest operating period in the 28 years since its commissioning.   Since the centralized troubleshooting was carried out in October 2021, this device has continuously adjusted its production load dynamically in response to the production needs of downstream devices. This year, in the face of the management challenges associated with the approach of the end of the unit’s operational cycle, the company clarified the responsibilities at the production operation department, regional, and team levels, and by improving daily maintenance efforts and overcoming technical obstacles, it continued to enhance the stability of the unit’s operation.   In daily operations, the equipment management team implements a standardized workflow system, formulating 96 lists of routine tasks for various positions and 90 standardized operation forms, while strictly adhering to the \"finger-and-verbal\" operation guidelines. Equipment is inspected using methods such as eddy current scanning and LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) to identify areas prone to blockage and leakage in real time, thereby eliminating operational bottlenecks dynamically.   Prolonging the service life of catalysts is a key challenge in ensuring the long-term operation of the unit. The unit’s technical team regularly undertakes specialized technical research efforts. Through measures such as enhanced data analysis, increased monitoring frequency, and online optimization of process parameters, they maintain a stable catalyst conversion rate, thereby significantly extending the catalyst’s service life and providing technical support for the unit’s continuous and stable operation.
