Today (November 20), the 150,000-kilowatt integrated wind, solar, energy storage and hydrogen production demonstration project of China Datang in Duolun has fully entered market-based operation; it is the first demonstration project in China that combines green hydrogen with coal chemical processing. “The collaborative model of \"hydrogen production using green electricity + selling excess electricity to the grid\" has been successfully implemented, providing a replicable model for the green transformation of the coal chemical industry. The project overcame key technical challenges, established a sophisticated adjustment mechanism for large-capacity electrolyzers in hydrogen production connected to the new energy grid, and achieved the first successful implementation of large-capacity electrolyzers operating continuously and stably in the chemical industry across the country, thus filling a gap in this sector. The project has resulted in 28 invention patents, 3 corporate standards, and it was successfully included in the first batch of **NEA’s pilot projects for hydrogen energy in the energy sector. Cao Guoan, manager of the Datang Inner Mongolia Dolun Wind, Solar, Energy Storage and Hydrogen Production Station: The project is expected to produce 70.59 million cubic meters of hydrogen per year, which will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 138,800 tons.
