On December 10, the commissioning ceremony for the high-pressure natural gas pipeline and station project of Gulei China Resources Gas Company was successfully held in Xiamei Town. This marked another significant advancement in the construction of energy infrastructure in the Gulei Development Zone, and it will help to bring about an important upgrade to the region’s energy supply system. The high-pressure pipeline of this project is 22.2 kilometers in length, has a design pressure of 4.0 MPa, a diameter of DN500, and an annual gas transportation capacity of 2 billion cubic meters. The pipeline network connects the Old Town distribution station, Xiamei Men station, and Gulei pressure regulation station of Phase II of Haixi; it forms a gas \"aorta\" that runs through the entire region. This setup enables a crucial transition from transporting gas in tanks in the Gulei development area to transporting it through pipelines, resulting in a significant improvement in the efficiency and stability of energy supply. Once the project is put into operation, it will create a dual-gas-source supply system based primarily on pipeline-delivered natural gas, with LNG serving as a supplementary source. This will significantly enhance the reliability of gas supply and the capacity for emergency peak shaving, providing a stable and cost-effective clean energy source to support the development of industries at the Gulei Petrochemical Complex. The project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 3.56 million tons per year, which will play a significant role in helping Zhangzhou City achieve its \"dual carbon\" goals and accelerate the development of the Gulei Green Ecological Petrochemical Base. Once put into operation, this pipeline will bring tangible reductions in energy costs and improvements in production efficiency for the enterprises in the park. Cui Beiyong, General Manager of Zhangzhou Xinyang Technology Co., Ltd., said, “We have been working with Gulei China Resources Gas since 2021, and we are very satisfied with its service quality.” With the introduction of pipeline gas, not only have prices dropped significantly, but the quality of the gas supply and its stability have also improved. This will help reduce the production costs for enterprises, providing stronger momentum for the further development of companies in this industrial park, including ours. ”It is reported that this project is a key initiative under Zhangzhou City’s 14th Five-Year Plan for the development of natural gas supply sources, and it also represents an important step taken by the Gulei Development Zone to optimize its energy structure and enhance its industrial competitiveness. The successful completion of this project was made possible by the coordinated efforts and efficient progress of all parties involved, demonstrating effectively the effective cooperation mechanism of collaboration between the government and enterprises for joint development and shared benefits. A responsible official from GRHC Gas said that in the next step, the company will continue to optimize its distribution systems and enhance its service capabilities, in order to provide higher-quality and more stable clean energy services to enterprises in the industrial park, residents, as well as commercial and industrial users, thereby contributing to the sustainable economic and social development of the region.
