Yangzi Petrochemical’s ‘triphenyl’ production to exceed 1.5 million tons by 2025

By 2025, Yangzi Petrochemical’s production of triphenyls will reach 1.506 million tons, with a yield that is 2.42% higher than the previous year, placing it second among Sinopec’s similar facilities. The aromatics department focuses on enhancing the operational stability of the facilities by carrying out specialized inspections and rectifications, as well as optimizing the alarm ranges for key parameters. A dedicated team for corrosion management was established, and a plan for identifying potential corrosion issues was developed. Eddy current testing was conducted on more than 400 pressure pipelines and over 30 critical pieces of equipment. In addition, offline intelligent monitoring systems for pumps were implemented to strengthen the safeguards ensuring the stable operation of the facilities. In addition, the department formed a team of party members to develop detailed parameter adjustment plans based on the current operating conditions of the adsorbents, thereby continuously optimizing the operation of the o-xylene tower and minimizing material losses. This approach ensured that the yield of isomerized octa-aromatic hydrocarbons remained above 96.5% throughout the year, achieving a level that is ahead of industry standards.
