Sinopec’s metallocene polyethylene catalyst has been successfully put into industrial use

Recently, a catalyst independently developed by Sinopec Beijing Research Institute for Chemical Technology was used; pilot-scale tests were carried out at the Tianjin Science Experiment Base in the Nangang Industrial Zone of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. The metallocene polyethylene (EG01) catalyst produced by Sinopec Catalysts (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was successfully applied in industrial settings, enabling the production of high-quality low-density film resin products. This development ended China’s long-term reliance on imported catalysts for the production of high-end metallocene polyethylene film materials.
