Recently, Guangzhou Petrochemical’s No. 2 polypropylene plant successfully produced two new grades of metallocene polypropylene, MC1005 and MC1009. Analyses showed that these products meet the required performance standards, marking a new breakthrough for the company in the research, development, and production of high-end, differentiated polyolefin products and further enriching the structure of its polyolefin product portfolio. Metallocene polypropylene boasts comprehensive advantages such as high transparency, strong toughness, low precipitation, and high purity, making it an ideal material for high-end packaging, medical applications, and textile manufacturing. It can effectively meet the stringent requirements of the semiconductor industry in terms of anti-static properties, pollution prevention, protection against mechanical damage, and high dimensional accuracy. Since the successful production of metallocene polypropylene products for the first time at the beginning of 2025, the company has strengthened its market analysis. By taking into account the needs of downstream customers, it has focused on aspects such as plant adaptability and process stability.
