On May 8, the dicyclopentadiene removal unit of the 200,000-ton-per-year C9 conversion plant in Jihua Beifang Jinjiang’s 350,000-ton-per-year C8 and C9 comprehensive utilization project was successfully commissioned, marking the plant’s successful operation. The C9 conversion unit comprises 2 main production units and 5 auxiliary facilities. A total of 7,790 cubic meters of concrete has been poured, 3,717 tons of steel structures have been installed, 16,187 square meters of road surfaces have been constructed, 238 sets of equipment have been installed, and 63,418 meters of process pipelines have been laid. The dicyclopentadiene removal unit put into operation this time covers an area of 3,002 square meters and is designed as a four-story steel structure framework. It includes equipment such as towers, reactors, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, ice makers, vacuum systems, and heat transfer oil systems, as well as involving special processes such as jacketed pipelines and low-temperature steel.
