Sinopec completes first export of ISCC bio-based benzene

Recently, a cargo ship carrying bio-based benzene disembarked from the Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Terminal, marking the first time that Sinopec has completed export delivery of bio-based benzene products that have passed the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC). ISCC is a sustainable development certification system applicable to the world. It mainly focuses on product certification of biological waste and residues, non-biological renewable materials, recycled materials and renewable energy in industrial and agricultural production. Sinopec Chemical Marketing International Trading Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Zhenhai Refining and Chemical, Xunke Company and other units, actively joins relevant trade chains and certification systems, participates in international trade cooperation, and fills gaps in related domestic fields. After the bio-based benzene produced by Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. obtained ISCC certification, its competitiveness in the international market gradually emerged, opening up a new path for developing the chemical product market. Huashan International Trading Company will actively serve the new industrial pattern of "one base, two wings, three chains and four new", strive to open up overseas trade chains for more products under the ISCC certification system, and contribute to the second entrepreneurship.
