In the 25th National "Safety Production Month" in 2026, everyone pays attention to safety and everyone will conduct emergency investigation and rectification of hidden risks -------------------------------------------------- On the morning of May 28, the first domestic cycloolefin polymer (COP) new material (Phase I) project with an annual output of 27,500 tons officially broke ground in the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone. This major project with a total investment of 1.536 billion yuan in Zhejiang Province's "Thousands of Trillions" project is being undertaken by China Chemical Siding Ningbo Company as the EPC general contractor. In the first phase, a 5,000-ton/year COP resin production line will be built. It is understood that the project will be constructed in two phases.: The first phase is planned to be completed and put into production in December 2027. The second phase will lay out key monomer raw material equipment, open up the closed loop of the entire industrial chain from monomer synthesis to polymer production, and ultimately achieve a total production capacity of 27,500 tons/year. The goal is to form a stable supply capacity of 20,000 tons/year COP resin and film products within 5 years.
