The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone talks about safety, and everyone knows how to handle emergencies; identifying and addressing risks and hazards. -------------------------------------------------- As of June 5, through systematic optimization of process parameters and adjustments to operating modes, the catalytic cracking unit at Guangdong Petrochemical achieved a steady increase in propylene yield, which remained above 9%, setting a new historical record for the highest monthly propylene yield recorded by this unit. Operating the device at low load is a recognized production challenge in the industry. In response to the company’s requirements to reduce emissions and increase efficiency, as well as the adjustments to production plans, the technical team of Refining Department 2 focused on the key factors that influence reaction processes, making minor but precise adjustments to core process parameters such as pipeline temperature, steam flow for atomization, raw material preheating temperature, and system pressure. At the same time, by reasonably adjusting the agent-oil ratio and optimizing the catalyst combination scheme, as well as by improving the proportion structure of propylene functional additives within the composite catalytic system, the reaction efficiency for the selective production of propylene was enhanced. This optimization breaks away from the fixed production mode of the unit, achieving the goals of reduced input, higher output, lower energy consumption, and rapid results; it signifies that the company’s catalytic cracking unit now possesses the flexible capacity to quickly and seamlessly switch between gasoline and propylene production scenarios.
