Questions about cooling in chemical production

Chemical companies need to cool the substances inside reaction vessels to very low temperatures, ranging from minus 60 to minus 70 degrees. How can this be achieved? What is used as a refrigerant? Liquid ammonia shouldn’t be used, right? The critical temperature and critical pressure of ammonia are 132.3°C and 11,277 KPa, respectively. I’d like to ask everyone, thank you!
We use methanol, but what is the cooling agent – liquid ammonia or gas ammonia?
