After the packing was removed, only one set of packing was cold-flowed and the others were intact.
1. The media is too dirty； 2. The temperature of the contact part between the packing and the piston rod is too high.
Cold flow refers to: At normal temperatures, solids such as plastics, rubber, and metals deform under load and cannot return to their original shape after the load is removed. Cold flow tendency: It means that solid materials tend to be unable to return to their original shape under long-term load. This results in permanent denaturation, similar to the yielding phenomenon of plastics. Cold flow will cause gas leakage and will not cause smoke. The possible cause of smoke is improper packing gap (axial, radial).
