How to lubricate and maintain UCFC bearings? (This belongs to self-aligning bearings.) Such bearings come with front and rear covers and are likely of the self-lubricating type; does lubrication maintenance refer only to the lubrication between the bearing housing and the outer surface of the bearing ring, in order to enable the bearing to align the shaft? Could a student who knows it explain it? >>>>
Lubricated with grease; like ordinary bearings, it requires regular lubrication. No lubrication is required between the bearing housing and the outer surface of the bearing outer ring. The outer ring of the bearing has lubrication grooves with lubrication holes for applying grease; there is no separate cover for lubrication.
There is only an oil inlet and no oil outlet; the old grease cannot be removed. Will forcing more grease in damage the sealing cover?
