Which marine friend can explain the model of a steam turbine? From Xinjinhua Machinery, such as 5cl-6, etc
This is a product of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan. The number 5 indicates that the diameter of the first-stage impeller is 500 mm. The letter C denotes a extraction-type steam turbine, while L indicates that the steam inlet conditions are low pressure, i.e., pressure ≤ 8.0 MPa and temperature < 480°C. The turbine has 6 stages! Some are named that way! Type code (e.g., N for condensing type, B for back-pressure type, etc.), rated power (MW) – steam parameters (initial pressure and initial temperature) – design sequence; for example, N50-8.82 indicates a condensing turbine with an initial steam pressure of 8.82 MPa and a power output of 50 MW
