There is a interlock in the dry gas seal: if the pressure difference between the main sealing gas and the pre-buffer gas falls below 0.02 MPa, the system shuts down automatically. What are the consequences of this level of pressure difference for the dry gas seal?
The dry gas seal uses gas blocking in place of traditional liquid blocking, with externally supplied pressurized sealing gas replacing the sealing fluid. If it is below 0.02, it may prevent the sealing gas from entering the sealing chamber, leading to dry friction and damage of the friction pairs – personal opinion
