York DXS compressor overhaul 1. Transport the compressor to be overhauled to a suitable, operational location. 2. Remove the intake and exhaust stop valves. 3. Install the hook on the motor side cover to prepare for removing it. 4. Gently lift the end cover using a gourd, remove the screws holding the end cover in place, and take off the end cover. 6. If possible, drain the residual oil from the motor. 7. First, remove the locking screw of the rotor shaft, install a lifting ring on the rotor, and lift out the rotor. 8. To remove the stator, first unscrew the stator positioning screws and then pull out the stator. 9. Remove the screws of the exhaust seat end cover, install the guide rod, and remove the end cover. 10. Remove the silencer and remove the two bearing shroud sleeves. 11. Remove the end cover of the oil filter to take out the oil circuit control check valve. 12. Use special tools to remove the bearing lock nut. 13. Loosen the screws holding the exhaust seat, install a hook on the exhaust seat, and lift it out to remove it. 14. Install a special tool in the bearing hole of the exhaust seat to pull out the outer ring of the bearing. 15. Slowly lift out the screw rotor, and use special tools to remove the outer ring of the bearing. 16. Use special tools to remove the other bearing outer ring; the disassembly is now complete. 9. I have only maintained the screw compressor; I haven’t repaired it yet.
You must be the technician in charge of the York unit as mentioned in the legends; what size is the machine at your home?
I’m not a technician, and I’ve never seen York’s machines either; the screw air compressors used in my previous company were from American Scroll.
