How often should a backup compressor be rotated? Is it necessary to start the auxiliary oil pump when turning the gear?
What type of compressor is it? What type is the shaft seal? For cranking the standby compressor, it depends on whether you turn it for a certain number of revolutions or 180 degrees
For reciprocating compressors that are turned over using an electric motor, and for standby units, it is usually sufficient to turn them over for a few minutes – is it necessary to start the auxiliary oil pump?
