Outlet valve opening degree and operating condition point of the dynamic equipment

May I ask, at what opening degree of the centrifugal pump’s outlet valve is the optimal or rated operating condition achieved? Is there any pattern?
When starting the pump, the outlet valve is opened gradually; once the outlet pressure gauge or ammeter stabilizes, it is generally at the designed operating condition
