The multi-functional roller conveyor is a type of conveying machinery that has evolved from ordinary conveying equipment, and it has been improved to meet the various requirements of different industries in the market. As conveying equipment inevitably experiences wear and damage to its various components over time due to prolonged use, issues such as belt slippage occur between the belt and pulleys. There are mainly three reasons for this: first, the wrap angle is too small, or the pre-tension of the belt is too low ; Second, the friction coefficient between the belt and the pulley might be too low ; Thirdly, the most effective way to address sliding problems is to enhance the friction system by using pulley guards; thanks to their angled design, these pulley guards also prevent the conveyed materials from slipping. To ensure the stable operation of the multi-functional roller conveyor, when transporting relatively dry materials, we need to be careful; due to the properties of such materials, they may stick to the belt, and dry materials can get stuck in the worn areas of the belt. As the roller conveyor operates, these materials will fall and accumulate below or on the conveyor, which can also cause damage to the lower part of the conveyor as well as its idler rollers. When using a dual-drum drive with conveyor belt accessories, material accumulation can be a specific issue. When the belt conveyor switches to a two-directional dual-drum configuration, material accumulates at the center of the drum bodies, causing the belt to bend and deform; the joints are often the first parts to be damaged. The traditional method to solve this problem is to carry out manual repairs and install wooden scrapers. However, if the material being conveyed sticks, a feasible solution is to use two sets of scraper systems: one for top cleaning and another for T-shaped cleaning. To ensure the long-term stable operation of a roller conveyor, in addition to careful maintenance of the materials being transported on a daily basis, regular inspections and upkeep are also necessary in order to keep the entire conveying system functioning properly.
