It was then delivered to the Qingdao Refining & Chemical Hydrogen Energy Base for installation. This compressor is the first high-displacement liquid-driven compressor of its kind to be used in hydrogen refueling stations in China, filling a gap in the domestic industry for such compressors. It is reported that this product is part of Sinopec’s hydrogen energy technology development project, aimed at addressing issues such as the small displacement of hydrogen supply compressors, the need for them to operate continuously 24/7, and the heavy workload associated with maintenance. “This compressor effectively addresses the common issues encountered in the operation of compressors at hydrogen refueling stations in China, such as high failure rates, high temperatures, low unloading efficiency, low filling efficiency, and high energy consumption. ”Yin Zhi, chairman of Qingdao Compris Energy Technology Co., Ltd., said, “This compressor features a dual-system design, allowing it to operate in tandem or independently.” Since the liquid-driven compressor can have its operation started or stopped at any time depending on whether filling is required externally, it solves the problem of the conventional compressors having to run continuously. Compared with the compressors already in use, it saves over 900,000 kWh of electricity per year, thereby significantly reducing the cost of hydrogen at hydrogen supply stations. ”
