What is the function of the cylinder plug in a reciprocating compressor? Many of the cylinder plugs in our factory have slight air leaks.
It should be the plug at the oil filling port provided on the cylinder; using tape or sealant will suffice to achieve sealing

This plug should be a manhole (process hole) for cleaning the water cooling jacket of the cylinder; there are also special process holes left over from the casting and machining processes.
