Dear experts: Regarding the energy-saving renovation project for the new hydrogen compressors in our factory’s hydrocracking unit, we have the following questions: 1. With the existing Herbig system, the compressor must be operated at over 70% load in order to start; otherwise, the motor of that compressor is prone to excessive shaft vibration, which can lead to automatic shutdown; (The stepless speed control system has no shipping function.) 2. Reducing the number of discs in the inlet and outlet valves at each stage of the existing compressor from 4 to 2 will lower the efficiency of the compressor. (After reducing the valve disc, this compressor has no means of adjustment.) What are your thoughts on this issue? Thank you
This is a problem with Holberg’s variable air volume control system~~~ It’s impossible to determine the cause of the fault due to unclear descriptions~~~ No one would use the second solution~~~ Hehe~~ Holberg’s variable control technology is quite good, but it should be installed on each inlet valve~~~ So, by using the second solution, you’re essentially reducing the compressor’s load by 50%; in this condition, variable control can still be utilized~~~ Additionally! Who runs a compressor at 70% load? Even with a traditional two-position fork pressing system, 0% startup can be achieved~~~~
1. With Holbig’s stepless adjustment system, the original 2-position fork system’s 0% startup function should be maintained; (I can’t guarantee it; in that case it’s a fault with the continuous adjustment mechanism.) 2. This means that manually reducing the compressor’s rated load by half~~~~ But if the continuous adjustment mechanism still works, then load adjustment is still possible – so why is it said that it’s not possible? ? ? Additionally, the stepless adjustment designed by Holbigg enables wide-range control from 0 to 100% load, which is unmatched by other technologies (such as adjustable clearance, etc.)~~~~ If this goal cannot be achieved, turn to the after-sales service of Holbigg (China) to resolve the issue~~~ (The details provided by the original poster are not sufficient to make a judgment~~~)
Hörlig’s variable air volume can be adjusted from 0% to 100%. It should be noted that the optimal operating range for this variable air volume is 30% to 70%; above 70%, it is nearly at full load, and there is no need to use the variable air volume feature anymore
