Dear colleagues, my supervisor has asked me to develop a framework for lubricant management. I’ve found some information online, but no specific details on how such management should be carried out. I would appreciate it if you could suggest practical management methods and system frameworks that can be implemented in reality. Thank you.
We conduct regular maintenance inspections, rely on feedback from on-site staff, and address any issues as they arise.
According to the specifications, our small pumps usually require new oil to be replaced and the oil tank to be cleaned after one year of operation. Regular analysis of the large-unit fuel tank is carried out, with appropriate amount of fuel added. Specifically, it’s things like “five fixations” and “three filtrations”
Centralized management of oils, regular inspection of oil quality, periodic checking and replenishment or replacement of oil levels, as well as daily recording and analysis of operational parameters.
Should oil replacement be based on time or on changes in oil quality?
When the oil replacement cycle is reached, a decision on whether to replace the oil can be made based on the test results.
Records are kept for the storage of lubricating oil, the replacement cycle and process of lubricating oil, the analysis of lubricating oil, and the storage of used oil.
