My company needs to purchase a batch of centrifugal pumps with high head and low flow rate, but many manufacturers claim they are unable to produce such pumps. I would like to understand, from a technical perspective, whether it is possible to achieve 13.5 MPa and 4 m³/h. If there are any equipment manufacturers that can do this, please leave their links. Thank you
Is 13.5 MPa the pressure difference or the outlet pressure? What is the inlet pressure? The main issue is that the traffic volume is too low. You can ask whether a high-speed pump is suitable, or consider a piston pump.
Let’s see if a high-speed pump can meet the requirements; it’s not easy to use centrifugal pumps. Flowserve has a WXB-B pump, and a low-flow bag pump should be able to suffice. For specific details, you can add me on WeChat; it’s the same number as the one below.
The outlet of the main pump is related to flow regulation, and it is necessary to maintain a relatively stable flow rate. I consulted several manufacturers, but none of them were able to handle this
The pressure at the pump outlet; the pump inlet is connected to the feed tank, where the pressure is roughly 0.11 MPa. Plunger pumps find it difficult to meet this requirement. In our case, it is a feed pump for a reaction vessel, and it is necessary to adjust the flow rate at the pump outlet, as well as to control it in proportion to other forms of feeding
We have several high-flow options available for multi-stage centrifugal pumps. However, after consulting several manufacturers regarding the flow rate specified in the title, it turns out that either the head is high while the flow rate is high, or the head is low with a flow rate that meets the requirements
So 13.6 MPa is equivalent to over 1,300 meters of water column? This is also too high; it far exceeds my imagination
Why can’t piston pumps meet the requirements?
The poster can choose one of the two options: 1. Three-plunger pump with a high-voltage stabilizer; 2. High-speed centrifugal pump; the W9 model used in aerospace applications should be fine~~~
