The piston compressor of this device has air volume adjustment; what do 0, 50, and 100 represent? I’m not quite sure; does ‘adjustment’ refer to the speed of rotation? Bonus points as shown in the figure
The volume regulation of the unloader is controlled by adjusting the opening degree of the inlet suction valve. At 0 load, the intake valve is fully open, allowing all the inhaled gas to be discharged from the inlet ; At 50% load, the intake valves open and close alternately; in other words, half of the intake valves are not functional, and half of the inhaled gas can return along its original path ; 100% load means that the intake valve is functioning properly, and the gas drawn in can only be discharged through the exhaust valve
When the volume coming in at the compressor inlet is high, should it be set to 0 or to 100?
Why is adjustment appropriate when the compressor’s inlet air volume is high?
This corresponds to a regulator-controlled solenoid valve that uses instrument air to activate the unloader. A value of 0 means that all intake valves are forced open and cannot be closed, causing all the inhaled gas to flow back; a value of 100 means that all intake valves operate normally, with all the inhaled gas being compressed and discharged. Generally, reciprocating compressors cannot operate at low load for extended periods, as the continuous backflow causes the gas temperature to rise continuously
During normal operation, it is full adjustment! It is conducive to the long-term operation of the unit; under normal circumstances, it is controlled using a bypass control valve!
The speed of a piston compressor isn’t adjustable, right?
