The liquid level in the intermediate tank of our pressure compressor has been rising very rapidly since operations started. If no reflux is sent to the oil-gas separation tank at the top of the distillation tower, it will fill up in half an hour. What’s the reason? ? Is it because of liquid in the rich gas stream or cold weather?
There are many reasons. The main issues are: 1. High inlet temperature of the compressor; 2. Poor separation performance of the oil-gas separator at the top of the fractionation tower: A. High temperature, B. Low pressure, C. Reintroduction of other gases or gasoline-based substances; 3. Large reverse surge opening of the compressor, resulting in a high rotational speed to control the reaction pressure. 4. Insufficient reaction depth results in low gas yield. Main cause analysis: Due to poor separation performance of the oil-gas separation tank at the top of the distillation tower and high inlet temperature of the compressor, the condensate that should have been separated in the oil-gas separation tank ends up being carried to the intermediate tank of the compressor where it condenses, before being compressed back into the distillation separation tank. This process repeats itself, creating a vicious cycle.
