Regarding thrust bearings, bearing shells

I majored in instrumentation, and in my work I often deal with equipment-related tasks, especially during the maintenance of machinery – tasks that involve installing and removing vibration, displacement, and temperature sensors. However, I don’t have any understanding of terms related to equipment such as thrust bearings, bearing shells, sliding bearings, and rolling bearings. Could you please explain these concepts to me? It would be great if you could use examples from everyday life to illustrate them.
