It seems that there are 4 intake valves and 4 exhaust valves per cylinder. The thin pipeline indicated by your red arrow is instrument air, which is used to control whether the air valve is under load.
This is the cylinder valve adjustment mechanism. It is possible to load and unload the compressor. Judging from the picture, there should be four intake valves and four exhaust valves.
Is it called a self-acting control valve? The thin tubes are located before and after the valve, and the valve opening is adjusted using the pressure difference across the valve.

The unloader consists of a diaphragm inside; this diaphragm is connected to an actuator rod, and when the actuator rod moves, it pushes the intake valve open, keeping the valve in an open state. By controlling the switch, the intake solenoid valve is activated, so that one or more intake valves remain in an open state, thereby allowing for adjustment of the load; this is generally used for starting with a low load

The cylinder load adjustment mechanism is what we call a unloader. Used to adjust the cylinder load. This cylinder has four inlet valves and four outlet valves.
