Our factory has a large number of reaction kettles, ranging in capacity from 2 to 30 cubic meters. All of them use cycloidal pinwheel reducers. The older ones have been in use for almost twenty years; at least seven or eight years already. Although the oil is changed twice a year on a regular basis, it’s inevitable that some sludge cannot be removed. Over time, carbon buildup becomes quite severe. Is there any type of cleaning agent that, similar to those used to clean engine carbon deposits, can be injected and then used to automatically clean away the carbon buildup and sludge at low speeds? It doesn’t need to be a completely thorough cleaning – just some effect would be sufficient. That way, I wouldn’t have to disassemble the reducers in order to clean the carbon buildup.
Our situation is the same; we don’t know what method would be both simple and effective?
No cleaning is required; disassembling the cycloidal equipment itself can cause the bearing holes to become loose. The bearings for high-speed and low-speed shafts in high-quality cycloidal devices are all heat-fitted. Dismantling will cause the bearing installation location to expand. Get rid of the sludge, and change the oil regularly.
Add kerosene and start cleaning

Add cleaning kerosene, run at no load, then drain it, and repeat this cycle!
