Some questions regarding the components of a centrifuge

The following figure is a plan view of a vertical centrifuge of a certain model. Question 1: What are the functions of the balance tube and the swash plate distributor? Question 2: What type of pipe is the DN25 pipe located below the diagram, near the lid-opening shaft?
Is this a vertical filtration centrifuge? The balance tube is used to remove gases from within the centrifuge, while the inclined disc distributor is used to spread the material containing solids evenly over the filter cartridges. As for the function of the DN25 device port, it’s not clear; it is presumed to possibly be the inlet/outlet for seal cooling water

During operation of the centrifuge, the interior is filled with a protective gas such as nitrogen. When there is an excessive amount of mother liquor and the diameter of the discharge pipe is too small, high pressure inside the machine can occur, preventing the mother liquor from being discharged in time. By installing a balance pipe, it is possible to send back the mother liquor that cannot be discharged promptly into the machine, thereby avoiding the accumulation of mother liquor outside the drum and preventing the dissolved solid phase from accumulating there. As for the swash plate distributor, it is used to ensure that the material is distributed evenly across the drum after entering the centrifuge, thereby preventing excessive vibration in the centrifuge due to uneven feeding and avoiding shutdown.
