Adjusting the rotor meshing clearance of a screw compressor?

Have you used the screw compressors from Shanghai Qiyao? I don’t understand the principle of adjusting the rotor meshing clearance using synchronous gears; could an experienced technician explain it?

The smaller the meshing clearance, the larger the force-bearing area, and the higher the energy conversion efficiency. However, temperature changes may cause jamming due to overly small gaps. This gap is usually set at the time of manufacturing; unless the bearings are damaged or there are issues with the wheelbase that cause problems with the gap, it remains fixed. Our company invited an experienced technician from Qi Yao Screws to demonstrate the method for adjusting the clearance to me, but I still don’t fully understand it
Insert a feeler gauge of the appropriate size into the rotor gaps, and fix the gears after they are in tight engagement. Rotate the rotor to remove the feeler gauge and adjust the gap of the composite rotor.
