Questions about multi-stage pump assembly data?

The pump’s balancing mechanism is of the drum-type; according to the specifications, the gap at the bulged part of the balancing drum should be between 0.38 and 0.42, while the gap at the surface of the balancing drum itself should be between 0.40 and 0.44. I have encountered several multi-stage pumps in the past whose gap values were not this large. Could this be related to the design of the pump regarding the amount of axial force it can balance? Not quite sure; could everyone from CNOOC help answer this? Thank you so much!
For those that do not meet the requirements, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer and ask them to provide evidence!

For the Calit pump, there’s an icon on the back page of the manual that shows the balance disc clearance
The technical parameters of each pump are different; if there are technical data for the pumps. We just need to do it as required by the manufacturer.
