Why is the process for obtaining permits for special equipment handled by the Market Regulation Bureau here? Aren’t permit issuance, installation notifications, annual inspections, and modifications/repairs carried out by different departments?
The registration procedures are handled at the Market Regulation Bureau (formerly known as the Quality Supervision Bureau), while the inspection of special equipment is carried out by local special equipment inspection institutes appointed by the Market Regulation Bureau.
It’s not a single department; for installation inquiries, one should turn to the Special Equipment Section at the Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, while annual inspections are handled by the local supervision and inspection authorities
Can the supervision and inspection be carried out by other private enterprises instead of the local special inspection agency?
Three places are needed, I guess: the Market Regulation Bureau, the Administrative Approval Bureau, and another agency for inspections, namely the Special Inspection Institute
